A Little About Me
Learning never stops for me. I value constructive feedback because I know it will help me continually improve. Technology improvements, breakthroughs and other advancements excite me. My goal is to always be ahead of the curve of project management's progression.
Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, I moved to the United States in 1998 and a few months after my arrival, joined the U.S. Army. I drove heavy equipment transporters (HET) while in service and served on a peace keeping mission with the Multi-National Forces and Observers (MFO) in Sinai, Egypt. Military experience taught me teamwork, integrity, leadership and discipline, values that I uphold every day.
I am a fun-loving father, project manager, extrovert and people person. I love big trucks and aspire to one day participate in the Dakar Rally’s truck category. I enjoy playing pool, watching polo, taking long drives, networking and traveling.
My greatest accomplishments include military service and getting a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Masters of Science in the Management of Information Technology (MSMIT) from the University of Virginia.
Project management is an extension of my natural strengths of organization, structure, strategic thinking and people skills. I enjoy seeing things through and take commitments very seriously.
I teamed up with a group of U.S. and Kenya Partners to develop projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. Our focus is on the energy sectors, the purchase and sale of commodities such as coffee, the development of ITC projects and international trade.
My wife, son and I live in Charlottesville, VA.
